MODERNIZATION

LIFTASIA can customize, modernize or, when necessary, replace existing lift systems within existing building parameters. 

In buildings where there is an existing lift, hoist or escalator, it is important to consider the following key indicators that may point to the need to upgrade, either partially or fully: 

  • The unit installed is over 20 years old; 

  • The frequency of breakdowns, call-outs and repairs has increased significantly since the preceding year; 

  • The cost of the breakdowns, call-outs and repairs has increased significantly since the preceding year;

Based on the above information and an assessment of the unit installed, a qualified consultant may recommend an upgrade or modernization tailored to meet the client’s specific individual requirements. 

Where a full modernization is not commercially viable, LIFTASIA can carry out upgrades of certain key components to improve the reliability of the unit. A few examples are: 

​

  • VVVF door operator  

  • Machine replacements 

  • Drive and control replacements  

  • Door detectors for passenger protection 

​

Complete lift modernizations include everything from supply, installation and final commissioning. In addition, once commissioned, a comprehensive maintenance agreement can be entered into which includes lift safety inspections, scheduled monthly maintenance and a 24-hour emergency service.
